The IOC President Thomas Bach emphasized that the decision to keep Lima as the place for its session was made possible from the Peruvian government's assurances.

The IOC announced a donation of 600,000 U.S. dollars to support Peru's recovery efforts last week.
The 130th session will see the election of host city of the 2024 Olympic Games between Paris and Los Angeles.

GAO Yuye, an undergraduate student at East China University of Science and Technology, attracted widespread Internet coverage over the weekend after a video of her inarticulate speech at a graduation ceremony went viral online.
“Sorry, I’m deaf and have a poor pronunciation,” she said, starting her speech. “I will try my best to pronounce every word clearly.”
